OK i know some of you are probably on WIC in your states so here is my issue maybe you can help...

My son is Allergic to SOMETHING in Similac (WIC’s formula in OHIO) even the soy similac...plus he IS NOT lactose intolerant. They only allow 3 types of Enfamil to be covered on WIC... 2 predigested formulas (brian has no issues with enfamil so it would be bad to use them) and Preemie formula (he isn’t a preemie). I don’t know what to do because we just are soo low on money til I find a second job.. or my husband finds a second job... Any advice on who to speak to??what to do??

~~~~~~EXTRA INFO!~~~~~
there are 17 extra ingredients in Similac then there is in Enfamil...chlorides and phosphates, ect. I went through ingredient by ingredient...
not sure what to say my son is breastfeeding but when i had to give a formula he like the enfamil. talk to a social worker at the WIC office they should be able to do something if not take and sign up for enfamil coupons and try the walmart brand or the target brand of formula i hear that it just about the same it will help out on money saving. and then always look on EBAY my favorite site since ihad my son. they always have deal on formula and they coupons for sale too from different people. good luck
Maybe you already thought of this, but if you go to the enfamil web site, and sign up, they will send you quite a bit of formula to get you started. Plus they will give you some coupons. I mostly breastfed until 6 months, then I switched to formula and my daughter hated similac, so I feel your pain. the samples and coupons really came in handy, and I also found that some moms were willing to "trade" freebie coupons and samples for other brands via the internet (www.babyfit.com) messages boards sometimes had posts. You could meet someone in your area, or mail them and trade enfamil for similac... My daughter, although she liked enfamil the best, she did like the Sam's brand formula, I don't know if you have a membership (or know someone who does) and I also don't know if it will affect the allergy, but it looks very similar to the enfamil.
Hope this helps a little. If not, maybe ask your dr, if that other enfamil would be alright.
Kids sure are expensive!!
