i had this with my second child and was never tested for it but when it came time to deliver my daughter there was trouble she was an extremly big baby i had put on so much weight i was misrable and could barely walk when i had her they could not get her blood sugar up past 20 and she had to be sent to another hospital and put in the nic u by a special ambulance just for very sick newborns and children (THE ANGEL is what its called) and it caused her to have underdeveloped kidneys and her hearing didnt develop like it should have (she hears now though ) i would tell amyone who is expexting to make sure the have this test done and comunicate with there doctor about any concerns or fears !!!! they are there to help and should listen to anything you have to say after all this is a little life your dealing with .
